Lion Cremation Urn Symbolizes Courage and Strength

March 12, 2014 urngarden.com

Mighty Lion

Just as the cowardly lion sought courage from the great and powerful Oz, many people today look outside themselves for the same trait. But all this “king of the jungle” had to do was look inside and know that his courage and relentless fighting spirit to overcome life’s challenges were already there.

That courageous spirit is what inspired this cremation urn featuring the lion resting after a hard fought battle. We wanted to symbolize strength, assertiveness and personal power.lion cremation urnThis urn is sized to contain the ashes of an adult, however, it’s also available in a smaller size suitable for sharing or could be used for a pet. Sculpted by an award winning artist, this urn is made in America.

Another American made urn that captures the lions’ spirit is the Lion King bronze cremation urn. Bronze urns are usually considered a custom order and take a little longer to produce, but definitely worth the wait. With a higher price point, these vessels are for families that are willing to spend a little more and only want the best for their loved one.

Lion’s Symbolic Messages
A lion’s signs and symbols are special and are personal to each individual. The symbolic messages often include:

You subconscious is looking for way to overcome some emotional difficulties, but you can when you find the strength within your spirit. If you are having dreams where you are being attacked by a lion, you may be headed to some type of self-destruction. Families that are facing difficult decisions and having to juggle the checkbook to cover a funeral will often turn to the internet to get information if the answers are not available at the funeral home. They are looking for affordable memorial options and will decide to buy online. Here’s some tips:

What Are Your Options?

Ask your funeral director what your options are for cremation urns and memorial services. The funeral director is in the business to serve the families and if you will open up and have the conversation you may find the answers to creating your perfect memorial. If you have specific ideas let them know. Decide what you can spend and stick to it. Is the family pooling resources to help pay for the service? If so, decide who is going to pay for what purchases. You can break it up into manageable segments among the family and not go broke.

Bronze Cremation Urns – Strength and Beauty

November 23, 2010 urngarden.com

Selecting a cremation urn can be overwhelming due to the nature of the purchase, as well as the many styles  now available to choose from.  Bronze is always a good choice for an urn that is not only strong and secure but can double as an art sculpture. Many of our families that buy bronze want something that blends in to the decor and doesn’t scream URN.

Bronze urns are more expensive than some of the other urns on the market.  The price of copper, molds, and the process involved to pour bronze command a higher price.  This style is not mass produced and is considered a custom order that requires a 2-4 week lead time depending on the finishing details. But the return is lasting beauty and a safe final resting place, certainly worth the wait.

Recent developments in resin compounds have resulted in designer blends that mix bronze and marble dust into the finish that when used in a cold casting technique results in a less expensive product with the look and feel of bronze. An example is our new Lion Sleeps Tonight Urn.

Sculpted from resin blended with bronze metal, this cremation urn has all the rich details of a bronze urn but without the weight of the heavy metal and the price.

Both of the urns featured in this post are made in America.

The Lion in the Closet. Brave Heart Lion Urn

February 21, 2010 urngarden.com

Brave Heart Lion Keepsake Urn

This sculpture by one of the Urn Garden artists keeps coming around, and there’s always a wild story to go with it.  The latest is a client who was involved with a Las Vegas animal rescue operation back in the ’80’s. She handled exotics.

Big cats and monkeys.

Funny thing, this story had a familiar ring to it.

Turns out, she had the ashes of a lioness that had been in the closet all these years. She stumbled on to our Brave Heart lion keepsake urn while shopping for a different style cremation urn for another sad occasion.

One look and she knew she had to deal with the lion in the closet. This urn will be perfect as she only has possession of half the lion’s ashes.  This urn is designed for keepsake size portions and even though it won’t accommodate all of the cremains, she has a plan.

Lion King Bronze Urn for Human Ashes, Made in America

On a larger more human scale, the bronze Lion King cremation urn has an adult capacity and is also made here in the USA. A bit more expensive, families commission this sculpture style and tend to only want top quality premium products for their loved one, no matter the cost.
