Define Combat Duty

May 2, 2008 urngarden.com

ww2 propaganda

Recently, on the undercover assignment I spoke to a lady who was shipping out for the Middle East. Air Force.  Her job would be to deliver ammo. She confirmed that she’d packed the BODY ARMOUR and was familiar with the assignment.

Women in Combat? If you are female, working in a war zone, I believe you are on combat duty. Even if you are relaxing in the Green Zone.

Stay Safe.

Ummm..yea, about that. AirForce keeps telling us that they are driving trucks but they are not. I know this. I know this because I have the names of every convoy trucking around in Iraq and Afghanistan. There is not a single airforce person driving ammo supplies. There is not a single airforce person running security on those convoys.

If a person chillin’ in the IZ (you keep calling it Green Zone) is supposed to be on combat duty, then where are my purple hearts and meritorious valor medals for the 4 times I took shrapnel and the 2 times I saved the lives of soldiers in the IZ? Oh, forgot to mention I’m a contractor, ya know, those people everyone loves to hate even though military benefits are far greater in package than any contractors paycheck.

Perhaps we have forgotten that the Airforce will NOT support anyone other than other airforce missions unless its an actual fire-for-effect mission, which means dropping bombs of missiles.

    hmmm
Air Force Brat here, and wife of a fighter pilot too.

I’ll have to ask my sources about contractor’s AF comments. I’ll get back to you.

I agree immediately with one thing…the “hate” the contractor concept. Where did that come from? Ridiculous.

In Repose will soon release a formally classified document. My father’s vietnam rescue mission report. Pretty interesting stuff.

    And look, back quickly!

The experts remind us…that the airforce personel support the AIRPLANES which are of course the mission of the airforce…not convoy trucks. Most of the airplanes are in Saudi Arabia. They tend not to park this equipment in enemy territory.

Candace, I agree, no ill will here towards the contractors.

Contractor: Just reporting a casual conversation in passing, I did not interrogate the subject for details of the mission. No torture tactics were used. Peace be with you.
